Unified SharePoint home site improved communication and boosted adoption
The client's SharePoint environment was fragmented and underutilized, with departments operating in isolated silos and lacking a unified structural framework. This disconnection hindered easy access to shared resources, stifled cross-departmental collaboration, and led to low user adoption, ultimately impacting organizational efficiency.
To address these challenges, we architected and deployed a top-level Infrastructure SharePoint home site, crafted in a classic (pre-Hub) architecture. This site now serves as the centralized gateway for all technology-related content and services across the organization. Below this umbrella, we rolled out six departmental subsites, each meticulously customized with its own set of document libraries, lists, calendars, and bespoke web parts designed to bolster department-specific functions and foster collaboration.
This cohesive, integrated structure has dramatically improved the navigability and accessibility of the system, boosting interdepartmental communication and setting the stage for a more advanced SharePoint deployment. The transformation culminated in a more intuitive, user-friendly interface, significantly enhancing user engagement and optimizing the overall utilization of SharePoint resources.
